The obverse replicates the design and detail of the Quartermaster Corps’ Branch Plaque, which contains an eagle perched atop a wheel with thirteen gold spokes, representing the thirteen original American Colonies. The reverse contains the official seal of the U.S. Army. Minted in a brass alloy and finished in bronze, this coin is imbued with rich enamel on both sides.
