Operation Absolute Resolve

Description Carried out on January 3rd, 2026, the United States Military at around 2:00am local time began Operation Absolute Resolve, resulting in the successful capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores. This action was done in assistance to the Department of Justice, arresting Maduro on multiple charges of narcoterrorism. U.S. Forces sustained no casualties. The operation was an overwhelming success and demonstrated the unmatched capabilities of the U.S. Armed Forces to the world. The capture was undertaken by the US Army’s Delta Force, with on-the-ground intelligence provided by the CIA, and the support of aircraft from United States Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps.
